The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

This month long festival  boasts more tulips than Holland itself. The tulip fields are Located on over 300 acres in the picturesque town of Mt Vernon, Washington. Taking place during the month of April, this festival attracts around 1 million visitors each year. Visitors can drive around the rows of colorful tulip fields scattered throughout the Skagit Valley. Highlights of the festival include a parade, several art shows, a petting farm and live music.

California Poppy Festival

California poppies cover the hillsides in a sea of orange in the Antelope Valley in April. The California Poppy Festival celebrates the state flower of California. The California Poppy Festival in the Antelope Valley is a 2-day event includes performers,  shows, crafts and food.

National Cherry Blossom Festival

Every year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the  gift of 3,000 cherry trees from the mayor of Tokyo to Washington DC.   The cherry trees framing the Tidal Basin are the main attraction during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Walk along the Basin and enjoy the breathtaking views of the pink flowering trees framing the city’s most iconic landmarks. The Festivals events include a  parade and marching bands. Nearly 100 cultural performances are held during the three-week festival. Entertainment includes traditional and contemporary Japanese music, dance, song and martial arts demonstrations.  Events are free and open to the public.

Dallas Blooms

For over 30 years in the heart of Texas, Dallas Blooms has been named one of the best Flower Festivals in the United States. The garden explodes with 100 kinds of spring bulbs totaling 500,000 blooms and colorful landscape at every turn. Dallas Blooms features tulips, daffodils, Dutch Iris and hyacinths, pansies, violas, poppies and thousands of other annuals and perennials. The star of this spring celebration is the garden’s  3,000 azaleas that bloom during the end of April.
