LONG BEACH ZINE FEST

The 1st Annual Long Beach Zine Fest (LBZF) features an array of Art mediums created by Magazine Artists and Publishers. The Festival also features live music, workshops and Zine Panel discussions. Celebrating Southern California’s independent publishing and Do-It-Yourself (DIY) culture, the first Long Beach Zine Fest will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA). All Long Beach Zine Fest attenedee’s have access to tour throughout the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA)

The Long Beach Zine Fest is a one-day free event promoting zines and zine culture and will be the first independent-publishing expo of its kind in the city. The festival will bring together more than 100 writers, designers, cartoonists, photographers, artists, and DIY advocates from Long Beach and surrounding cities who believe in the power of print as a viable artistic medium in today’s web-centric world.
Artventure Sundays at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA)
Admission is free to MOLAA every Sunday, thanks to a grant from Target.
Enjoy interactive adventures in art every third Sunday of the month.
- 12:30pm – Children’s Storytime
- 1:00 – 2:00pm – Artventure Tour: Explore the galleries from an artist’s point of view!
- 1:00 – 4:00pm – Drop-in art workshops for the entire family.
- 2:00pm – Docent-led tours of the galleries
- 3:00pm – Artventure Tour
And, discover the museum on your own or join a docent-led tour of the galleries every Sunday at 2 p.m.
